During the Biology course, students learn about the chemical basis of the life, the structure and functions of the cell, among others the properties of the genetic material and the anatomy and physiology of the human body.

 

Péter Hollósi (Biology teacher, McDaniel College Budapest Campus)

 

Péter Hollósi studied Structural and Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Natural Sciences in Hungary. He obtained his Ph.D. in Basic Medicine, Oncology at Semmelweis University, Budapest in 2009. He has merited research fellowships and worked as a researcher/research assistant at several institution such as at Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Biological Research Center, Szeged; at Semmelweis University, Faculty of Medicine, 1st Department of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research, Hungary; at Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medicine, Huddinge, Stockholm, Sweden; at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Cardiovascular Research Center, Honolulu, USA; at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Denmark. In addition, in 2018, he finished the Postgraduate Program in Interpreting and Specialized Translation at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Centre for Modern Languages.


Péter Hollósi has been teaching Human Biology at McDaniel College Budapest Campus since 2006. During the Biology course, students learn about the chemical basis of the life, the structure and functions of the cell, among others the properties of the genetic material and the anatomy and physiology of the human body.
